José Carlos Lozano Rendón is a professor and researcher with the Tec de Monterrey, Campus Monterrey, whose work has been recognized with Level II membership in Mexico’s Sistema Nacional de Investigadores (SNI). He holds a doctorate in international communication from the University of Texas, Austin, a masters in mass communications from the University of Leicester and a bachelors in social communication from the Universidad Regiomontana.〔(【引用サイトリンク】publisher=Tec de Monterrey, Campus Monterrey )〕 He is the director of the Centro de Investicación en Comunicación e Información CINCO (Research Center in Communication and Information at Tec de Monterrey, Campus Monterrey. Before this, he was the director of the undergraduate program in communications and information media studies at the same school. He was also the editor of the Anuario de Investigación de la Comunicación CONEICC.
